Farm Day took place at the NZQA registered Taratahi Agricultural Training Centre, one of New Zealand's leading rural education providers.

The centre’s dairy unit is situated next to its main campus at Cornwall Road, Masterton.  It milks 150 autumn calving cows and 480 spring calving cows through a 32 a-side herringbone shed, which is specially designed for student training. The unit also rears 170 replacement heifers and a further 150 bull calves. The weaning is done using a modern calf rearing operation.

Taratahi offers a unique learning environment, with over 6000 hectares of commercial farm land.
