The Robb family milk 350 Jersey cows on their dairy farm near Gladstone, with plans for another 50 cows to be added to the herd next year.
They supply Westland Milk Products, who have a factory in Hokitika.
The farm was converted to dairy two years ago, prior to that it ran dry stock and even earlier it was a sheep and beef farm.
